Steve has a Commercial Launchmaster Ticket since 1988, he has worked as a Crewman, Engineer & Skipper on several Northland charter launches and has crewed on charter boats at Lizard Island, Fiji, Samoa & Vanuatu & Chesterfield Atoll. Actively fishing and cruising the North East coast for over 25 years has enabled me to assist with the capture of over 300 Marlin. Fishing yearound in Vanuatu, Hawaii, New Caledonia, Chesterfields Attoll, Cairns, Samoa, Tonga, Vava'u, Fiji, Rarotonga, 3 Kings Islands, Hokianga and NZ North East Coast keeps me informed of latest trends and techniques of all aspects of sportfishing. | Steve has been fishing mad since 5 years old, fishing on the Manukau Harbour in a 6ft Pram Dingy. A Grade Automotive Engineer for 10 years as well as HP Gas Compressor Engineer for 5 years was a great foundation for REEL Service & Blueprinting. Previously Sales Manager for a leading sportfishing tackle retailer in Auckland, NZ for over 7 years. Servicing all game reels for the store. Meanwhile sportfishing all over the Pacific Islands. Winter 2004 ventured offshore as part of vessel delivery crew to Fiji and New Caledonia, visiting remote locations en route. Fishing Director is a dirty job but someone has to do it. Now commited to pass on my experience with Sportfishing tuition onboard our own Sportboat and assisting with delivery trips in the Pacific Island Group.
